The Ichiro Suzuki Bobblehead is a rare and collectible item celebrating the Seattle Mariners Hall of Fame induction in 2022. This officially licensed baseball memorabilia features the legendary player in his original form, perfect for any fan of Ichiro or the Seattle Mariners.
Made in China, this vintage bobblehead is a unique piece of sports memorabilia that is sure to be a standout in any collection. My fiancé and I were in Seattle - I'm originally from there - visiting my folks. My dad and I planned on us going to an M's game because my fiancé had never been to at that time? And I absolutely love the Mariners and The Safe, and I even USED to love the Kingdome as well. Ichiro's Mariners' HOF induction was actually the day we had chosen so we showed up early, and my dad said, Well, I decided to go all-out. This was something my dad NEVER did during my childhood. And he said follow me.
So we're walking to the 3B side of the yard and we jut down and to the right when we hit our section. And then we just kept going and going and going. And for anybody familiar with what's it now?
Safeco, there's like 50-60 rows on the field level. We were just inside of 3B, between 3B and home. And sure enough, he led us all the way down to the very front row.
I had never said with my feet against the very wall the players could crash into. I had never watched a game THAT close before. You could practically hear their conversations! The entire game felt like a dream or a movie. And my own Ichiro bobble stands tall and reminds me of that day, every time I see a it. In fact it sits atop our built-in bookshelf at home. And my dad's Ichiro bobble sits inside of his curio cabinet at home that I've always wanted! This particular Ichiro bobble is courtesy of my fiancé, Marisa. He had been in our living room closet forever. We just came across him randomly and I figured that someone out there most definitely would like to have him, not just cooped up in our closet! He'll be moving elsewhere.
As every feature in addition to every detail - down to his Mizuno cleats - means something. You have both his awards - one being the MVP he won in 2001, and the other I'd have to assume is his ROY. If you paid any attention to the photos I submitted, you'll see that his 3 silver-slugger bats are detached purposely in the packaging.
You can maneuver the bats in any direction you feel like. And of course there's his literal stack of Gold Gloves. They bring it all home. His name is written in both English and Japanese. And he's donning the M's home-whites. Lastly, he's only come out of his box twice.
Once, the day we brought both of ours home, back to LA with us, when we went to install him along with all of our Dodgers' players, I wanted to see which Ichiro was better. But there was absolutely no discernible difference. And of course the second and final time he's come out of his box is right this very moment, as I deemed it necessary to show JUST HOW pristine he actually is, so I could take a lot of really high quality photographs, showing exactly what I wanted. This bobble is just as incredible as the man and the myth himself. Whoever inherits this will love it for life.
